Frequently asked questions

Delivery, returns, sizing and how organisations get started with the NVQ Platform.

Orders & delivery
How long does delivery take?+

Standard delivery is up to 14 business days. Much of our gear is produced or configured to order — it is how we keep configurations, logo work and fit exact instead of shipping something generic — and stocked items often arrive faster. Flight suits are the exception: they are built to order, and their lead time is stated on the product page and confirmed with your order. In extraordinary situations outside our control (force majeure — for example supplier or transport disruptions), delivery can take longer; if that affects your order, we contact you rather than let you wait and wonder.

Where do you deliver?+

We deliver to the whole EU. If you are outside the EU, send us a message before ordering and we will confirm whether and how we can get the gear to you — freight, customs and lead time depend on the destination.

How do I pay, and is VAT included?+

All prices in the webshop include 25% Danish VAT, and payment is handled by Stripe — your card details never touch our servers. Organisation accounts on the NVQ Platform are different: those are invoiced business-to-business, and VAT treatment is set up individually for each organisation when the account is created.

Why do some products say “Request a quote”?+

Some equipment — Switlik survival products are the clearest example — cannot honestly carry a single webshop price. The delivered cost depends on the exact configuration, survival pack, freight and destination, and the manufacturers build much of it to order. Rather than list a number that would be wrong for most buyers, we quote each enquiry: use the “Request a quote” button on the product and we come back with the current build, lead time and delivered price for your situation.

Returns & warranty
What is your return policy?+

Standard stocked products can be returned up to 14 days after you receive them. Made-to-order and customised gear is different: a suit built with your company's logo, a special configuration or a larger pool order has no shelf to go back to, so those orders cannot be returned unless we have agreed otherwise before the order was placed. If you need to return something, get in touch via the contact form or info@nvqflightgear.com with your order number and we will guide you through it.

What about warranty if something breaks?+

You have a two-year right of complaint under Danish and EU consumer law — and it applies to made-to-order and customised gear just as much as to stocked products. If a product fails or does not perform as intended because of a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair, replace or refund it. The right of complaint does not cover damage from incorrect use, mishandling or normal wear and tear — this is professional equipment, and honest wear from real operations is not a defect. Contact info@nvqflightgear.com with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will take it from there.

Sizing & fit
How do I find the right size?+

A flight suit you wear a full shift in has to fit properly, so we take sizing more seriously than a size-letter dropdown. Products that need sizing have a PDF size guide on the product page. Download the NVQ measurement form, fill in your own measurements — the form explains how to take each one — and compare them with the size guide to find the size that fits you best. If you are between sizes or unsure, send your completed form to info@nvqflightgear.com and we will recommend a size before you order.

Can I get my name or personal patches on a suit?+

Name tags, unit patches and logo work are normally part of organisation orders, where we set up the programme together with the company. As a private customer you are always welcome to ask — depending on the product and what production allows, we will tell you honestly what is possible on a single suit.

Organisations & the NVQ Platform
How does my organisation get started with the NVQ Platform?+

Fill out the contact form or email info@nvqflightgear.com with a few lines about your operation and roughly how many crew members you equip. We get back to you as soon as possible, normally within 2 business days, and from there a dedicated NVQ contact takes over: they set up your organisation's account, help you approve a product catalogue and get your employees created so ordering can start. You talk to a person who knows your setup, not a ticket queue.

How does ordering work for employees on the platform?+

The organisation approves a product catalogue and allocates each employee a points budget. Employees then order approved gear themselves using points — they never see prices, and the company never loses control of what is issued. Every order, replacement and return is logged, so the organisation keeps a complete equipment history per employee instead of a pile of spreadsheets. Read more on the NVQ Platform page.

Can we order flight suits in our organisation's colours and with our logos?+

Yes — that is what NVQ is built around. We develop fully customised flight suits to your organisation's specification: colours, configuration, patches, logo placements and fit. Because each programme is developed and produced specifically for you, the minimum order is 25–50 units depending on the build. See Custom Flight Suits for how a programme runs from specification to delivery.
